Breaking Bread, Meeting Minds
I like eating with smart people, and I had the opportunity to do so last night. The Boston Meetup which stemmed from the Y Combinator effort brought together very interesting minds. Congrats to Shimon Rura for putting this together. My gratitude to everyone there for elevating my thinking about a number of technology issues.
I was intrigued that the people there - at least those I got to speak with at my end of the table - seemed more interested in talking about technology than strategy or economics. (Though we did have an entertaining discussion in re generating online PR.)
There is definitely room for a discussion with these same kinds of individuals to talk about their technology ideas and turning them into income engines. I tend to think that such a conversation could generate economic ideas as innovative as their inventions.
Either way, I look forward to seing the next of these!
