A Friend Who Owes You Money

That’s how Jim Woodward would ask participants to imagine the presenters at the MIT Enterprise Forum Startup Clinics when he was moderating them. And it’s a good idea. You want your friend to be well, feel well - and succeed in a substantial manner that lets them return your money!

I like this model for thinking about other ventures. I want them all to succeed, and to the extent that I offer thoughts or criticisms, they should all be with that model in mind. Positive and clear-eyed.
